Lorinda de Roulet Obituary

de ROULET--Lorinda. NewYork-Presbyterian is deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and Life Trustee Lorinda (Linda) de Roulet. Born on May 8, 1930, Mrs. de Roulet was the daughter of Joan Whitney Payson and Charles Shipman Payson. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1950 and married her late husband, Vincent W. de Roulet, the following year. Together, they raised their family in Manhasset, New York. Mrs. de Roulet was elected a Governor of the Society of the New York Hospital in 1968 and a Trustee of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital upon the merger between New York Hospital and the Presbyterian Hospital in 1997. She became a Life Trustee in 2000. During her tenure, Mrs. de Roulet served on several committees, including development, government affairs, quality assurance, nursing, operations, clinical relations, financial management and more. She also served as a clinical liaison for the Department of Psychiatry. A lifelong philanthropist, Mrs. de Roulet was deeply involved in civic and cultural institutions and served on the board of multiple other healthcare, educational and fine art not-for- profit organizations, including Gracie Square Hospital. We extend our deepest sympathies to her children Daniel (Megan), Whitney (Clark), and Sandra, and grandchildren. She will be missed. Steven J. Corwin, M.D. President and Chief Executive Officer Brian G. Donley, M.D. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer NewYork-Presbyterian
