In loving recollection of our dear Luigi, gentleman poet in whose fine and able verse is discovered untold wonders of generosity, wit and wisdom. We, the living, salute you, dear friend and brother, in the land of the dead, comforted in your absence by the knowledge that your brilliance shines forth still in your written words and in the hearts of your loved ones and friends. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Luigi, I only met you twice. Once in NYC. & once in Schenectady. I remember being, completely, charmed, twice. Thank you for these encounters and thanks to Dennis McCafferty for introducing me to such a wonderful man.

... dear lou
could you please make a seat ready for me for our next encounter in the land of infinite poetry; just a humble seat in a modest setting like your den in passo corese, where we sat working back to back & with une ligne ouverte between us, through which we exchanged an occasional odd remark while roaming between the stanzas of our poetic imagination...

your old friend and colleague

As a member of Luigi's extended family, I only met Luigi a few times, but his warmth and intellect were appreciated in equal measure. I hope his poetry continues to keep his unique perspective alive.

Farewell, dearest friend, beloved colleague. Although we grieve at the loss of your physical presence, we are comforted by the knowledge that your work endures, endowing the world with your wit and wisdom and with the nobility of verses handily crafted and sweetly sung. "We are the singers of songs and the dreamers of dreams." Rest in peace, Luigi.

I had the pleasure of meeting Luigi once by Skype with Dennis McCafferty. I am grateful Luigi was such a good friend to Dennis. Their connection was truly special and long lasting. I have been entertained and touched many times by stories of their music and movie adventures. Through Dennis I know Luigi to be a generous, loving, and passionate being. He will be deeply missed.
