Marie was a champion of the arts and mentor. I was fortunate to have learned from her at New York City Ballet. May her memory be a blessing.

I am so Heart-broken. I met Marie Nugent-head back in 1994 at New York City Ballet working in IT Dept and also had the honor of sharing beautiful moments with Marie thanks to her dear friend, Carol Landers. Marie was a symbol of elegance and sophistication and still did not lose her sensitivity and empathy for everyone. The memories I have with Marie will remain forever in
my heart because of the incredible person she was. Rest in peace, Marie.

I am heartbroken. I adored her. She always had more energy than all of us. Kind. Gentle. Helpful. Supportive. Encouraging. Natural, unforced elegance.

I met Marie in 1987 when I came to work at NYC Ballet. She was always a force of nature as the director of
development and as a NYCB member. She was a champion of NYCB and a friend to all who
had the good fortune to know her. My deepest condolences to Jim, her sons and their
families. May she rest In peace.

Tears come to my eyes, and a smile to my face, as I remember New York City Ballet's beloved 'Boulie'. The epitome of elegance, Marie Nugent-Head was dubbed 'Queen of NYCB' by Peter Martins. And she was every bit a queen. As a board member and éminence grise, she was a tireless ambassador and supporter of the arts. I shall miss her. So many happy memories.
