Mark was a true genius, a modern day Mark Twain. I was lucky to have gotten the chance to collaborate with him, to play music with him, to drink and to laugh with him. His friendship inspired me to strive for a new level of artistry. Miss you Mark, but your memory will live on forever!

I was very sorry to learn of Mark's death from following news of Music and Art HS alumni. Mark was one of a small circle of friends inside and outside school who enjoyed each other's company, music and creative arts. We would get together in each other's homes to try and make songs, and experiment with tape recorders which were new then. I was an art student but loved music.
After graduation I studied architecture in Ohio, then moved to England where I still live, practice and make songs. I remember Mark as a gifted guitarist, who played with the band of fellow students. It was great to read about all his talents and personal qualities. Anyone could tell he had it in him back then.
