A warm and wonderful person. He is truly missed!
Dr. Francis Schwartz

We are saddened by the passing of our friend Marty. He was a kind, witty gentleman whose warmth and understanding graced our lives during the past two decades. There were so many times with his brilliant wife Anna when we solved the major problems of our turbulent planet always accompanied by an elegant wine. He was a practioner of the clever PUN, a `vice“ promoted in our family for years. He will be missed but remembered by many.

My late father, Larry Bleiberg, met Marty when the two were children back around 1940, and both of their families had cottages in a bungalow community on the shores of Lake Peekskill. They became lifelong friends, and I don't think my father ever spoke of anyone with more warmth, admiration, and respect than he did of Marty. For a time in the 1960s our two families were neighbors in New Jersey, and my brothers Andy, Peter, and I were a frequent presence in the Rabinowitz house, just as Steven, Susan, and Nancy were in ours. I speak for my whole family in extending our condolences to all of you, and telling you how sorry we all are for your loss.

Marty and Anna were kind and generous hosts to me over the years--their love for each other and for the city made my every trip a delight and an education.
