MARTIN ROTHMAN

ROTHMAN--Martin Saul, died on March 29, 2021 at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York, New York. He was a graduate of Cornell University and New York University Law School and an Army Veteran serving in Europe during the height of the Cold War. After his service, he practiced law as a partner with the firm of Seligson, Rothman & Rothman for nearly 60 years. A consummate appellate attorney and philanthropist he was well known for his unfailing wit, wisdom and passionate dedication to his family and chosen charities. The younger of two sons of Max and Evelyn Rothman, he continued in the path of his parents and his beloved brother, Herbert Rothman who predeceased him in 1993, with his devotion to Israel and Jewish and Zionist causes. He is survived by his wife, Renee Serlin, her sister, Sonia Movsas, his sister-in-law, Patricia Bruder, his nephews and nieces, Jeffrey Rothman and Susan Garment, Stewart Rothman and Susan Huckins, Melinda and Adam Kowalski, Ariana Caulfield, Sharon Movsas, Ben and Tammy Movsas, David and Shoshana Movsas, Ephraim and Marcia Movsas, and their children and grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at the New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, New York on March 31, 2021 at 1:00pm.
