MARTIN SEMEL Obituary

SEMEL--Martin.

In loving memory of Martin Semel, of New York City and Saltaire, devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather, who passed from this world peacefully at home. His two loves, above all, were his family and the practice of law. With sharp mind and quick wit, he truly sparkled when talking of each. A talented attorney, he dedicated his practice to the needs of those underserved, earning the respect of the Suffolk County bar and anyone who had the honor to know him. He is survived by his wife, Paula, his children, Michael and Alissa, their spouses, Cathy and Ben, his sisters, Cindy and Sharon, and his grandchildren, Zach, Kate, Rachel, and Ryan. Donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in his name are welcome. Services Friday, 10am July 20 at "The Riverside" 76th St. and Amsterdam Ave.

Marty was my beloved friend for 40 years. We worked together at Bobick & Deutsch, Esquires before he went into his own practice. His wonderful dry humor, his intellect and knowledge was unparalleled. He was like a brother to me. Paula has been my wonderful friend and confidant. Sincere love and condolences to the family..
