Matt worked with me over the 7 years when he served as my manager in the music industry. Suffice to say, he was very much one of my best friends during my twenties and he also was one of my biggest supporters. He was very charismatic and funny... always put a smile on your face. If heaven broadcasts baseball games, I’m sure there’s a Yankee section waiting on you.
You will truly be missed, my friend.

Funny, smart, charismatic. That’s how I remember Matt in our one year together as ninth graders at Calhoun. My heartfelt sympathy goes to his wife and family for his loss and that of Cortney. It’s unbearably sad. My love to you all.

Just a genuine nice guy. Worked with Matt in the music business with 'Kidz in the Hall' but regretfully haven't spoken to him recently. Did keep up with him on the socials so saw the pride, joy and love for his son, wife, family and Yankees. My thoughts and best wishes go out them all.

My heart beaks for the whole Marcus family. I met Matt in 1989 when our lives turned towards each other. While we drifted apart in the years since, the memories of my childhood friend are strong and positive. Matt, the outpouring of support online tells me that you continued to live your life with a big heart. To Matt's family, this tragedy is without equal. Embrace each other and lean on the supports around you and will endure. Thoughts and blessings be with you during this terrible time.
