Maurice Henry Lecorney Pryce

PRYCE-Maurice Henry Lecorney, FRS. Born Croydon, England on January 24, 1913. Died peacefully in Vancouver, Canada on July 24, 2003 after a long illness bravely borne. Emeritus Professor of physics at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and Fellow of the Royal Society since 1951. He had a long distinguished career in advanced theoretical physics, and gave dedicated service to his country in World War II. He will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Sylvia Pryce O'Hickey, son-in-law Patrick & grandson John Elvis in New York, & family members in England & Canada. Donations in his memory can be made to the Botanical Garden Fund at UBC, 6253 N.W. Marine Drive, Vancouver, B.C. V6T 1Z1, Canada. A memorial service will be held at the University on Friday, September 12, 2003.
