Since I learned of Max's tragic story, I have not been able to stop thinking about him and his family. How do you survive such deep grief and loss without faith? I must believe that you are receiving strength from a belief that someday you will be reunited with Max and that spiritually he is still with you. He must be. He has to be. How can someone you love so deeply, and loves you in return, not be with you always? From what I heard on the news and read in the media Max was an incredible, beautiful, intelligent, gifted, and loving young man. Someone who will never be forgotten by whomever he knew. AND even though I did not have the privilege of meeting him, I will not forget him. He will be in my thoughts and my prayers from here on. God bless you and know that your Max is with God.

I sit in my home watching the news snd see this terrible tragedy. My son walks in ... just to stop and give me a hug. Tears enter my eyes as I think of you and your loss. I feel guilty hugging and loving my son. There is nothing more special than the love between a parent and child. I do not know you or did not know your son but I am sorry. Sorry for the ways of people who do not know love in their heart. It breaks my heart to think of the great young man the world just lost. My sincere sympathy for your loss. May this world do better.

I just read this mornings news and saw this about your son and loved one, Max Lewis. I do not know you, his family and friends, however, your son was an incredible young man with a big heart. Even had I not read that about him, he was your son and you knew his kindness, love, smiles, how to make you laugh and the list goes on and on. Max was and always will be the love of your lives.
I wish that I could take this pain away for you. My words to you as a complete stranger is just to let you know that there are so many out here that feel the same way about a young man named Max and so many others that have been taken at such a young age.
May G d be your heart, your tears and all that you need during this difficult and painful time and in the days to come.
