Dear Mokhtar,
You have taught those around you, including myself, how to be gracious, kind, thankful for everything that God has given us. There was not a moment that I can remember you were upset about something but always with a genuine smile even in those last few days you had to endure such physical difficulties. I feel very lucky and thankful to have had you as a father in law who was always so kind and loving. It is so difficult and surreal to think that you are not here with us. It just feels like an endless bad dream. I am sure that you are in heaven next to God continuously looking over us here on earth. We miss you so very much and thank you for your tireless love that touched many hearts and soul.

Knowing you throughout all years and hearing from all people who were luckier than me to spend more time with you, they all witnessed and shared that you are the best caring, loving, giving, generous son,brother,husband,father,uncle,brother in law,father in law and grand father. Of course you are best friend and best doctor and best neighbour. We lost you on earth but we won having you in heaven to pray for us - miss you and love you.

So we are sure that you arrived safely in a very good place that you deserve,as you carried your cross(being sick)thankfully,happy. When we ask you, how are you Mokkhtar?(any time,whatever or wherever you are),your answer is NOSHKORO WE NEHMED FADLOH,we wont forget the lovely days we spent with you in USA,your love,care,generosity,hopitality,giving....etc

His countless good deeds and his numberless acts of kindness speek volumes about the generosity of his spirit even in moments of suffering. They will be always remebered fondly by every one who knew him.

Mokhtar, I will always remember our drives through Port together. I loved eating lamb kebab with you and you made the best salads! Thank you for always treating me like one of your own children. Even through all life's challenges you were always the epitome of what a father, husband and a mentor should be. I love you.

To my dear Father-in-Law/Uncle Mokhtar:
I was truly blessed to know such a person as you; even though it was a short while, your kindness, generosity, zeal for life and love of family left an everlasting mark on me for years to come. Your humility, love, and obedience to God and his will is legacy and foundation you have established for generations to come.
You were always grateful for all God has given to you; from a simple meal to the pains and sufferings of your illnesses.
I will utterly miss your smile and warm greetings. But you will always be remembered and memorialized in our hearts and in the hearts of our children.
Here’s to you Uncle Mokhtar in getting the deal of a lifetime and eternity with a great big smile as you meet your Redeemer Our Lord Jesus Christ in his eternal Glory restoring you and making you strong, firm and steadfast !!!

If happiness is defined by one's smile, our dear friend Mokhtar was the happiest man on earth. Our image of him will always be of that caring smile which really summarized a life of love, service and duty to not only his beautiful family and his community, but everyone he touched. My deep condolences----many fond memories with Mokhtar and all the Estafan family during my time residing in Port Washington and worship with the community at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. A sweet and generous man that will be missed by many.
