MONIQUE VAN DORP BERKOWITZ

VAN DORP-BERKOWITZ-- Monique. Monique passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by friends and family on November 18, 2022 after a five-year battle with Cancer. A devoted wife, mother, lover of music, art, poetry, and literature, she spent her professional life as a publicist at WEA Records (Benelux) and as a collections registrar at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Born in Venlo, the Netherlands, Monique lived with her family in Manhattan and was active in her community, including serving as the president of her apartment cooperative for more than a decade and volunteering at the Unitarian Church of All Souls' Monday Night Hospitality. Monique is survived by her husband Steve and sons Nicholas and Ben. A memorial service and reception will be held on December 9, 2022 at 6pm at the Unitarian Church of All Souls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Monique's honor to Monday Night Hospitality via the Heart and Soul Charitable Fund (comment: "MNH/Monique").
