I enjoyed studying acting with Pavel on the Upper West Side in Diaan Ainslee's acting class for a few years. Pavel always stood out as a wonderful, generous fellow actor, super talented, handsome, caring and inspiring. Later on I would see him at Robert Baker's parties with his beautiful wife Diane, what a beautiful couple! I send my heartfelt condolences to Pavel's family. So devastating. Sending prayers and good wishes.

I went to high school with Pavel but I didn't know how well he could dance until I saw him perform a ballet at the high school talent show. Grace and strength in his dancing, friendliness and a sense of humor in the times we spoke. It's moving to read here how many lives he enriched. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Dear Dr. & Mrs. Lempert,
Please accept my heart felt condolences at the loss of your son. I knew Pavel all the way back from Cayuga Heights Elementary School. He was always such a nice, fair and happy kid! As the years grew he blossomed into such personable, soulful and talented young man with many friends. I lost touch with him after High School and just recently got back in touch with him. He was the same down to earth, lover of life man that I had remembered! I was so sad to hear that he was sick and was sure that if anyone could, he would kick it. Unfortunately, God wanted him for better things, and Pavel will sit in the cradle of his hands for a while. I hope that you will find comfort in all of the beauty that Pavel brought into your lives. I also hope that your faith will give you strength and comfort during this trying time. You gave this world a wonderful and amazing man for a brief time. We all thank you for that.

I remember a happy, kind, focused young man who used to stop in the office to visit when he was home on vacation. It was wonderful to be included in your family, by telling us stories of his adventures. Even when we had moved away you always had some news regarding his career, his wife, his daughters (your precious granddaughters) when we talked on the phone or wrote to each other. It would be impossible to know the depth of your grief at the passing of you son Pavel, but know that you, Lesly, Yonah, Taliah, Yael and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. I met you once at Naomi and Jason's wedding (Diane's sister), it was very clear that you had a wife and two girls that adored you and you adored them. We spent time together at the reception and again after back at where you were staying.
I gate crashed your Chinese take away in your room and helped you eat it (hee hee), I was a little tipsy and a little loud, however you all accepted me into your room and happily shared your meal with me, I recall you laying the bed and just laughing at me (was what I deserved). However you never judged me and you and Diane opened your heart by offering me to come to America to visit you. Sadly I hadn't achieved this before your family lost you! you will leave a great hole in many peoples's lives. Rest in Peace Pavel and my heartfelt sympathy to Diane, Ella, Sophie and their family.

I knew Pavel from having worked with him as he led a group of drummers for two of our clients. He energized the whole group the moment he walked into the room. His generosity, kind spirit, and joyful attitude will be sorely missed. I only worked with him twice in the last two years, but he was so open that it felt as if we'd been friends for a long time. My wife was pregnant the last time I worked with him and I told him about the anxiety and joy of this anticipated fatherhood. He told me about his two daughters and gave me some parenting advice. Mostly it consisted of telling me to be present and take advantage of every moment because they grow up so fast. He lived by being present to the moment and I know his wife and daughters were lucky to have him. I hope they will cherish the memories with him in this difficult time. I extend my deepest condolences to all three of them and wish them the very very best.

If you ask any of his classmates of IHS 1982 - they would attest to his kind heart. Funny, soft spoken, observant. If he didn't know you- he would still say "hi". I am so glad I got to see him at the reunion. We hugged and said "so good to see you". He was the same as I remembered 35 years ago. To his family, I pray that God comforts you during this time. His LOVE is enough to carry us out of the valleys and dark places. Look to HIS LIGHT. Seek HIS FACE. I will be praying for HIS PEACE in your lives today. God bless you and keep you.

I met Pavel during my UNH theatre days... We have many mutual friends, and would see each other at various social events. Such a gentle soul - talented - always a smile and a positive attitude. Diane, Sophie and Ella, I really have no words for this tremendous loss. I was heart broken to hear the news. As I told you at the reunion, Pavel has always been one of my all time favorite people. I was fortunate to call him my classmate and my friend. His infectious smile, contagious laugh, and gigantic heart were truly out of this world! What a shining star!
