Peter
Your warmth and generosity live on through your gifts of vision you provide to eye doctors in training you continue to support and the thousands of patients they are able to serve with your help. I will always treasure our friendship.

I was hired by Mr. Murphy as an independent representative and worked for DVI for 16 years. As with all of his new hires he had to meet you face to face. That's just the way he was.
I recall that his wisdom changed my opinion on the death penalty... he believed it made no sense and I was persuaded by his words. As for business he said that wealth is created only by planting a seed (agriculture) through education and from manufacturing that made a dollar grow exponentially. He was always proud of his children's education and independence.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Peter.
I spent a wonderful week in Northern Maine with him and a group of young men.
I will never forget it.
If there is any family member that could contact me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Peter for your friendship, enthusiasm, and generous support for so many young physicians-in-training in our Department of Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Your innovative surgical telescopes have helped surgeons save the sight of many thousands of patients and in turn have brought much joy to the world. I know your family who you were always so dedicated to will miss tremendously. I hope they will find some solace in the knowledge of how much you contributed to the larger family of man.
Peace, Brother.

Thanks Peter for being a memorable part of our child hood. Growing up you were a stable part. Thanks too for contacting me in my adulthood, we had a great time going over our lives. Sorry we weren't able to be in contact more. We all have our own lives to live. I will continue to keep you with me in spirit. Love in Jesus, cousin Barbara.......
