PETER WEINSTEIN Obituary

WEINSTEIN--Peter D., age 82, of New York, NY, Died peacefully on January 23, 2022. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Cornell University and Columbia Law School. After serving as a Lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Corps of the U.S. Army he had a successful career as an International and Corporate Lawyer at various New York City law firms. Peter retired as a Partner at Morrison, Cohen, Singer and Weinstein. Peter was devoted to the love of his life Laura, with whom he had been married for 53 years. He loved his family above all else and is survived along with Laura by his daughter Jody Bernstein (Andrew), his son Alan Weinstein (Deborah), his grandchildren Ellie and Zoe Bernstein and Sarah and Chloe Weinstein and his brother, Dr. Alan S. Weinstein. Peter lived his life in New York City, and enjoyed spending time in the South of France, which always renewed his spirit and rejuvenated him. Additionally, Peter's philanthropy focused on many Jewish causes but primarily on Honest Reporting a Media Watchdog that insures fair and accurate news coverage on Israel and Jews worldwide. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Peter's name to Honest Reporting, 165 East 56th St., 2nd floor, New York, NY 10022-2709.
