I just learned of Philip Spitzer's passing in 2021, and I am so, so sorry. He advised me on some writing projects I engaged in more than 20 years ago, and became a friend and advisor for a long time afterward. He was a wonderful human being.

I only learned of Philip´s death two days ago, and I am heartbroken. He was my friend and agent. I loved spending time with him, and my husband and I had many unforgettable experiences with Philip. My deepest sympathies to Mary and his children and Michel. There was only one Philip, an amazing fighter in many senses, a man who was kind and funny and whose good heartedness will be missed.

My heartfelt Irish sympathy to the Spitzer. It was my good fortune to have Philip as my agent and friend. He was a wonderful man. The Bed of Heaven to him.

I was saddened to learn of Philip's passing. I will always be grateful for his interest and representation of my work. Although we never met in person, we had several pleasant conversations over the phone. I feel as though I've lost a close friend. My deepest sympathies to the family for your loss.

I know that even though you have a loss, you still have some great memories. I hope those memories will give you comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of sorrow. Please accept my most deepest condolences.

I was stunned and saddened to read about Philip's death. He was very special, one of the kindest, smartest, charming, and talented people I have ever met. I felt fortunate to count him as a mentor and friend. A champion of my writing, Philip also made others feel special and appreciated. He never wavered in his confidence in me, telling my husband that I was " a natural," and that I would be published! And finally was, this year! I only wish Philip could have shared more in my success. He never stopped believing in his writers, and made you believe, too. A more modest, humble man you will never meet! Philip, you will be greatly missed! With much love and affection, Debbie Babitt

We are heartbroken at the loss of someone we so loved.
Philip was brilliant, clever and had a dry sense of humor that let us laugh at the absurdity of the world in which we Iive these days!
We will miss you...........

What a treasure of a man. He opened a whole new world for me, and I savored every moment I had with him in NYC and at book expos. Charming, erudite, fun. I'm so sorry for your family's great loss. He touched so many lives, mine included.
