Ralph Winton Brillhart
BRILLHART--Ralph Winton, of Great Neck, LI, born on July 1, 1924 in Oakland, CA. Peacefully passed away on October 23rd, 2007 after a six month struggle to recover from a fall in which he sustained a broken neck and brain trauma. He was the beloved father of Gail Brillhart Myrick, father-in-law to Steven Paul Myrick, grandfather to Justin Paul Myrick and brother to Beverly Cole. He was an honorably discharged Marine and retired commercial illustrator, he loved photography and carpentry work, and never truly knew how talented and special he was. Ralph requested no funeral and that his remains be cremated. This is being done at Doyle B. Shaffer Funeral Home, 45-09 Little Neck Pkwy., Queens, NY 11362. He will be laid to rest at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA 94611, where he owns a niche next to his parents. My sweet daddy, your parting has left an unfillable void in our hearts and lives, may God wrap his arms around you and answer all your prayers, rest in peace.
