REFUGIA GARCIA Obituary
EDINBURG – Refugia S. Garcia, 87, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Garcia had lived there most of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Garcia; two sisters, Rebecca "Nena" Salinas and Raquel De Leon; and her parents, Gavino and Edifonsa Salinas.
Mrs. Garcia is survived by two sons, Ricardo (Socorro) Garcia, Roman (Diana) Garcia; two daughters, Evangelina (Jose) Martinez, Ofelia S. Garcia, all of Edinburg; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A rosary was held Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today, August 19, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
