Rich and I began our friendship on my first day working for Royal Caribbean in March 1985. He will always be remembered as one of my go to guys, who made me laugh and gave a positive to light all we did together.
Rich, I often find myself saying what would Bartone do? You will never be forgotten, my friend.

I had the pleasure of knowing Rich and working with him on Royal Caribbean back in the day when I was a guest artist. He was a sweet, talented and gentle soul. God Bless him Bonnie Graham

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart - Helen Keller. This holds true on so many levels. Rich, our FA with ML, and my late husband shared many similarities relating to health/life challenges. My heart also knows what you are going thru. He is a dear sweet man who is greatly missed. Rich was our financial advisor at ML. Every month or so we went out for lunch. We shared stories and photos of Lorenzo and talked about Broadway shows. What a great man he was...a true gentlemen.... Always positive and with a smile...He surely is up there in heaven watching over us......

Alejandra and Lorenzo, no words will ever be sufficient in expressing the profound sadness felt over his loss. Looking back over 30 years, Rich is among that small circle of individuals who created a lasting impact on my life. We worked together, we played together and we grew together into the adults we eventually became. He even had to share a cruise cabin with me for a short time back in our RCCL days and joyfully and willingly tolerated the situation. We all remember certain milestones in our lives, and for me many were marked with memories of Rich. He celebrated my 21st birthday in Barbados and all these years later it still seems like yesterday. He hosted me on my first ever visit to SoCal, and worked along side me as we cut our baby teeth in the travel and tour business. Rich always exhibited a passion and a zest for life, his laughter and positive personality were contagious and you could not resist wanting to be around him. You could always rely on the fact he was a man of integrity and a straight talker and would give you good sound advice for any problem you shared. My condolences to each of you, his parents and family. With a heavy heart today we say goodbye, knowing we will miss him dearly but will all meet again someday.
Both Holger and I are thankful to have known this beautiful and kind soul.

I am licky enough to have Rich's wonderful friendship in my life for the past 30 years. He was always the most positive, encouraging person, and was supportive through my own battle with cancer.
He was a unique, uplifting person. I will never forget him, and send my deepest condolences to the extended Bartone family. My love is with you. Sincerely, Kathleen Dwyer
