Richard Kraner Obituary

1933 - 2022
KRANER-- Richard Lewis. Passed away January 19, 2022, a few months shy of his 90th birthday.  Richard was born in New York City on May 20, 1933 to Marjorie Klein Kraner and Noah Kraner. He graduated from the Columbia Preparatory School, The University of Pennsylvania, and The Columbia University Law School. Richard served as an Attorney in the United States Air Force and was stationed at the Tachikawa air force base in Japan.  He then returned to New York City where he practiced law until he retired. Married to the love of his life, Susan, for 64 years, he enjoyed a life filled with family, good friends travel, bridge and, of course, his nightly scotch. He is survived by Susan; children Karen Kraner (Mike Weber) of Potomac MD, Esther Kraner Oakes (Steven) of Bridgewater NJ, and Kenneth Kraner (Linda) of Potomac, MD; and grandchildren Xander and Griffin Oakes and Alison, Evie, and Talia Kraner. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the The American Kidney Fund or the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
