RIFKIND--Richard A., M.D. The Trustees and staff of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation mourn the death of Richard A. Rifkind, M.D., and offer heartfelt condolences to his family. Dr. Rifkin was a Guggenheim Fellow in Medicine and Health in 1965, and served as a Trustee of the Foundation for twenty-five years, from 1991 through 2016. As a distinguished scientist and experienced executive, he provided invaluable insight and guidance to the work of the Foundation, and wise counsel in many areas to its leadership. We adored him.
