To the Blount family, I just found out about Bob's passing, I knew him well, not form business but that I was his real estate broker when he lived in Southampton. I rented him the Wyandanch Lane house which he live in for 5 or 6 years, then sold him his house on Little Plains Road. I went to several parties at Bob's, he was a blast of humor, but a tuff man to work for, I loved his curssing! One time I will always remember, was a summer barbeque he had. Dave DeBusschere, who was a good friend of Bob's was there. I asked Dave if he minded if I asked him a personal question about his basketball career in the NBA. I said, " Dave, is it true your drink a six pack of beer after every NBA game?" He looked at me and said,"After the game?" Bob was great man in business, tuff but fair. And her respected loyality. A great sense of humor as well. My condolences, Tim Cunningham

I worked with Bob for many years. I very much enjoyed being a witness to his interactions with my bosses Bill Haskel and Jeff Sherman (especially the famous voicemails Bob left Jeff that I listen to and share from time to time).

One of my proudest moments in my career was the first time I was thrown out of Bob's office solo.

On a more serious note, I very much enjoyed working with and knowing Bob and will miss him always.

Dear Joellen and the entire Blount family.

I worked with Bob for many years, and I can't tell you how much I learned from Bob personally and professionally. We all know how complex a man he was. He was brilliant, difficult, loyal and generous. I would like the entire family to know how important he was to my family.

We had a medically critical son, that insurance kept trying to jerk around. Bob saw to it that Jake got proper medical care, and was personally responsible for Jake living a wonderful, productive almost 12 year life. We are so proud of Jake and his legacy, and to have been a "special" parent, and none of that would have been possible without Bob caring, and making sure to take care of others.

There is never a long period of time that goes by without telling and retelling the Bob Blount stories. He was one of those rare true giants, that I was privileged to have been able to work closely with. He will always be in our families' thoughts and prayers. I hope that you know that there are many families like ours, that Bob always looked after. In all the important people places, Bob always did the right thing at the core.

All of Amy and my prayers and condolences are with the Blount extended family. We know that Bob is having a drink with his buddies and smiling down on all of us. Maybe even playing all 18 holes!

With all of our sympathy and gratitude, Bill and Amy Haskel

dear sharon & bob jr.

i enjoyed meeting both of you at winged foot for the memorial reception in honor of your dad. i was a caddy for many years at innis arden golf club in old greenwich during high school and college.

i got to know your dad because he played in some member/guest tournaments there as a guest of dick stuart of american home products. when i related to your dad that i was a scholarship college baseball player at fairfield university and had recently knocked an opposing cather unconscious by a collision at home plate, your dad ordered mr. stuart that "i was his kind of man and wanted me always to be his caddy there", mr. stuart said he did not know if that could always be arranged because i was the best caddy the club had. well, you dad barked at him--"stuart, when you come into my office on monday there will be a lot of tough answers from me". mr. stuart said "i guess you are right bob, i will have to pull whatever strings neccesary". the man was a classic and i will always love him because he treated me like a son and help me get my first sales job out of college at xerox with a strong recommendation letter. that was your dad--strong!!
