ROBERT EISINGER Obituary

EISINGER--Dr. Robert. Dr. Robert Eisinger passed away July 9, 2024 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Gladys for 65 years and devoted father of Pam Eisinger Zaslav, Lesli Eisinger Rodman, Gary Eisinger and spouses David Zaslav and Sharyse Eisinger. Cherished grandfather to Jordan Zaslav (Ashley), Ali Zaslav Klinkner (Trevor), Jamie Zaslav (Zoe), Michael Rodman (Casi), David Rodman (Jacqueline), Jack Eisinger and Isabel Eisinger. Great-grandfather to Zoe, Bodie, Brooks, Sloane and Lena. Dr. Bob was dedicated to his dental patients, many whose children and grandchildren returned to his Yonkers and Spring Valley practices for 60 years until a sports injury forced his retirement at age 85. Robert loved racquetball, skiing, jumping rope, treating friends and family to a special meal, performing magic tricks for his young patients and grandchildren, fishing each summer in Canada, travelling the world with Gladys, sailing the Hudson river with friends and family, studying stock charts for the elusive triple top formations, and eating his food well done, like a "hockeypuck." Most of all we remember his many great friendships. He was a good, kind man who never missed a friend's life event wherever and whenever it was. Born in Riverdale, NY, son of Betty and David, a police officer, he attended P.S. 7 and Dewitt Clinton High School, the University of Illinois for college and dental school and returned to New York to raise his family in Spring Valley. Everywhere he went, he cultivated lifelong friendships. In his late eighties, dementia overtook his fit self and tried to steal his joyous way of making us all feel his love, but his smile never wavered.
