He helped my mother get thru a difficult time. My mom was a dental hygienist at his office. Charlotte Stevens lost her husband Earle (age 48) to brain cancer. I went to his house once and met his wife and sons. He was a good, caring and jovial fellow, who I liked very much. Yes, he did work on my teeth as well. Robert Tartell passed away 7 days after my own sister, Carol Ray Stevens, passed away here in Illinois. Dr Tartell knew my sister, when she lived on the east coast.

I am saddened to learn that we lost our friend, Bob. Lottie and family, he was, as you know, a good and talented man. I was so happy to have had about 15 years of G&S with him. His good humor will never be forgotten

My sincerest condolences to Lottie and the family, I'm heartbroken to learn of his passing. I met Bob when I was about 8 years old when my mother, Eileen joined the G&S Light Opera Company. Six years later I joined the group and spent 10 wonderful years performing along side Bob. I also ran my first 1/2 marathon along side Bob as well. He has enriched the lives of many, including mine and he is sorely missed already! Bob we'll see you up in G&S heaven as a life-long Savoyard!
