RUDOLF RUEDEMANN Obituary

RUEDEMANN--Rudolf H. Rudolf Henry Ruedemann "Rudy," was born October 27, 1933, in Princeton, NJ Hospital, and died on February 2, 2022, at home at aged 88. He is survived by his wife, Ingrid "Nina." Rudy and Nina were married in Malmo, Sweden, where Nina was born. Their marriage of 63 years was a wonderful adventure. They had two daughters, Ann and Lisa. He is also survived by his brother, Bill, who lives in Arizona. Rudy was an alumnus of Princeton, NJ High School, class of 1951, where he competed in track and field and soccer. Rudy was later inducted into the Princeton High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his state championships in track and field. His passion throughout life were running, skiing, sailing, scuba and tennis and Rudy ran numerous marathons, including Boston and, later in life, coached Mountain View High School in Susquehanna County, for track and field as a volunteer and led the teams to numerous state championships. Rudy was an alumnus of Rutgers University class of 1955, graduating with a degree in Agriculture. He also completed R.O.T.C., and after graduation he then Enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy as Lieutenant, on the Destroyer SS Hawkins. In the Navy, his duty was air traffic controller with radar. He began his career pioneering with the emerging technologies of the computer age. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, He worked as a Systems Analyst and Programmer for U.S. Steel, International Paper Corp., Thermos, and Harris Corp., and with NASA as a senior consultant. Rudy's background in agriculture began early. As he was growing up, Rudy learned the business of dairy farming from his grandfather who traveled throughout U.S. to promote Walker Gordon, Inc.'s innovations in sanitary mechanized dairy production with their world-famous invention of the "Rotolactor." The Rotolactor, invented by Rudy's grandfather in Plainsboro, NJ, was the first of its kind in automatic milking systems. In addition to increased dairy sanitation and hygiene, it greatly increased milk production efficiency for large herds. Rudy had a great love, knowledge and lifelong compassion for animals and the natural environment, so when Northeast Pennsylvania Natural Gas Exploration began, Rudy Facilitated, in his years as president of Jeffers Farms LLC, Land Conservation, and established Jeffers Farms as a Model Green Farm whilst negotiating with the gas company. This mutually benefitted the industry and the local community. He will be missed very much by so many people, many who remember the wonderful parties Rudy and Nina gave in their lovely homes in Princeton, NJ, Bucks County, PA, Mystic, CT and Kingsley, PA. By Rudy's request, there will be no funeral service. He leaves all of us with a call to care for our environment.

Nina, u may not remember me but I was yours and Rudy's home health nurse on several occasions over the years. U and Rudy also shared precious times such as a church bus trip to NY, dinner at your home, and countless conversations.
Armand and I send out deepest condolences in your loss. What a beautiful man and we are blessed to have known him. As always! Much love!
