RUTH MEHLMAN Obituary

MEHLMAN--Ruth Altschuler. Died May 27, 2012, age 83. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, Teacher, Scientist. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph; daughter Susan (Michael); son, Ben; and grandchildren, Griffin and Kyle. She was most proud of her post Masters work in Microbiology and her Development of a specialized High School Pre-Med program at Hillcrest High School, Queens. She was a skilled pianist and avid musician. Her interests also included hiking and camping. She and her family spent multiple years exploring the country's National Parks and Mountain Ranges. She loved and studied Yiddish literature and culture. She will be missed very much. Funeral will be held at Gutterman's, 8000 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, NY this Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at l0am.

We are saddened by the passing of Ruth and extend our condolences to Jimmy,Susan,Ben and the grandchildren.
She.will be missed by all who knew her.
