i was Dr. Bluestein's physician in NYC for the past several years and he was very proud to be back in the fold at Mount Sinai, where he spent some formative years training. he was a remarkable man in so many ways and always loved meeting medical students at Sinai, challenging them with inquisitive questions about their work, lamenting how much better it was 'in the days of the giants'. Sandy was also incredibly generous to our school of medicine and we are forever grateful. I will miss him personally for his warmth, his sense of humor, and his powerful intellect.

He was an unique gem. His accomplishments were many and he was always there when you needed him.
