The entire ISEF family, board, staff, students, and alumni, deeply mourns the passing of Selim Benardete. Selim devoted his brilliant mind and generous heart to good deeds, including helping Israel's at-risk children. With his wife Luna, Selim established ISEF's Benardete Bridge to College Fund, providing intensive mentoring and tutoring to marginalized Israeli youth in preparation for college. Selim engaged three generations of his family in this project. ISEF is grateful for his wisdom and commitment to excellence. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Luna, to Selim's children, Steven and Judith, Nancy and Yakub, and to his grandchildren. May they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
