SHEILA LAMBERT Obituary

LAMBERT--Sheila. The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan mourns the loss of our beloved friend, Sheila Lambert. Sheila was a long-time board member, past president, and chair emeritus, who chaired many committees and programs, including The David A. Sonabend Center for Israel, named for her father, and The Lambert Center for Arts + Ideas, named for her family. Sheila was the consummate Jewish communal leader, who inspired, engaged, and mentored countless others to take part in building vibrant community. Her creativity, leadership, and generosity extended to legions of organizations and professionals. She generously gave of her time and expertise to support and celebrate others. Sheila was a force for good in our world, championing people, organizations, and ideas with a wise and open heart. Above all, Sheila loved her family and treated her friends like family. She is survived by her dear husband, Bill, son Phineas (Daily) and grandsons Roark and Colson, her twin sister, Erica (Martin, z"l), and brother Andrew (Linda). She will be deeply missed by countless friends and admirers. May her memory be a blessing. Scott Romanoff, Board Chair Rabbi Joanna Samuels, CEO
