STEPHEN DIAMOND Obituary

DIAMOND--Dr. Stephen A., passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 87. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Eunice, his loving children Scott (Karen Jusko) and Becky (Jamie Stecher), and his adored grandchildren Jake Diamond, Ilana Diamond, and Marty Stecher, each of whom brought him endless pride and joy. He was predeceased by his brother Mike, whom he remembered with great affection. Stephen's family and friends will remember him as a man of wisdom, curiosity, and unwavering kindness. He listened deeply, learned eagerly, and cared profoundly. A proud graduate of Brown University, Stephen went on to earn his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy, and contributed to groundbreaking work with NASA, advancing the frontiers of science and exploration. Stephen's passions reached far beyond his career. He was tirelessly inquisitive about the world, drawn to travel, environmental stewardship, genealogy, history, art, architecture, mathematics, and literature. Whether leading a conversation about history or admiring a piece of art, he approached every subject with both intellect and heart. His mind was sharp, but it was his compassion and generosity of spirit that truly defined him. A celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:30am at Riverside Memorial Chapel in his beloved New York City, followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, where he will rest near his mother, Lila. Stephen's legacy of integrity, scholarship, and love will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered always and missed deeply.
