STEPHEN ROSENTHAL

ROSENTHAL--Stephen J. April 29, 1943 - November 26, 2022, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Steve was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up playing stickball, enjoying doo wop music and egg creams, and rooting for the Brooklyn Dodgers before switching allegiance to the Yankees. He attended college at Boston University and business school at NYU before joining his father in his family's business, Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Inc. Steve had a passion for real estate and spent much of his career in this arena. Upon the death of his father in 1996, Steve became the President of Rosenthal and served in this role for 11 years. During that time, he extended his father's legacy while putting his own mark on the firm and guiding it to even greater success. Steve cared deeply about his colleagues at Rosenthal and was frequently seen poking his head into people's offices to ask how they and their families were doing. Steve's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, often over a good meal and a glass of red wine. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Bobbi. They met in college, married shortly thereafter, and shared a life filled with art, movies, years of travel and devotion to each other. Steve is also survived by his daughter, Cassie, and son-in-law, Paul; his son, Peter, and daughter-in-law, Marisa; his grandsons, Ryan and Jack; as well as his siblings, Eric and Julie, along with their families. He will be terribly missed.
