I worked for Steve when I was a law clerk at Sprague Dwyer in 1989. He was a fine, friendly man and an excellent attorney. He wrote a very kind letter of recommendation for me when I was getting admitted to the bar two years later. I have very nice memories of him. Condolences to his family.

We were so sorry to hear the news. Steve was a wonderful mentor over the years who also became colleague and a valued friend. Steve was a quiet pillar of the Oyster Bay community as a selfless volunteer for many organizations and example steadfast dedication for all of us. His was truly an example of a life well lived and he will be greatly missed by many. Our love and condolences to all the Ulmans.
