STEVEN LEVITZ Obituary

LEVITZ--Steven. The New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Foot Center of New York mourn the passing of Steven Levitz, DPM, Professor of Orthopedic Sciences. A graduate of NYCPM, Dr. Levitz joined the faculty in 1979, and was its senior-most faculty member. He was both highly respected for his knowledge and passion and well-loved by students and his colleagues.

MY HUSBAND, GIUSEPPE GIAMPAPA WAS PATIENT OF DR. LEVITZ FOR OVER 20 YEARS. HE WAS A KIND, UNDERSTANDING AND DOWN TO EARTH PERSON. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE WHENEVER MY HUSBAND NEEDED HIM. HE WAS AT HIS PUTNAM AVE. OFFICE EARLY IN THE MORNING AND THAT IS WHEN MY HUSBAND USED TO GO. NO ONE WAS IN THE OFFICE AT THAT TIME OF THE DAY. THERE WERE TIMES THAT DR. LEVITZ WOULD NOT TAKE THE CO PAYMENT FROM MY HUSBAND. WHAT DOCTOR DOES THAT. NO DOCTOR TODAY. WHEN WE FOUND OUT OF HIS PASSING, BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I WERE SADDENED BY THE NEWS. WE KNEW THAT HE HAD ISSUES. MAY HE REST IN PEACE. HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED.
