STUART ROSENTHAL

ROSENTHAL--Stuart Alan, died on September 13, 2021 at (only) age 70. Stuart was devoted to and adored (and was adored) by his family: Kathy, his wife of 45 years and best friend for 49 years, daughter Devorah, son Benjamin, daughter-in-law Brooke, their daughters Lily Mae and Parker Hayes (the loves of his life), and his extended family by birth and by choice. He loved his work, friends, learning, and sharing. Stuart had a ready smile, enormous heart, and out-stretched helping hand. He was funny and so very smart. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, SUNY at New Paltz, and Hofstra Law School, Stuart had a long, illustrious career as an attorney, working hard to make a difference, first in public service at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs and the New York State Attorney General's Office, then at the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association, and most-recently as the master of his own domain in private practice. Respected by friends and colleagues, Stuart sought fairness and justice, equality, and peace, but was always ready for a toe-to-toe discussion. He was looking forward to retirement - to spend more time puttering, tinkering, reading, learning, taking photography classes, playing with gadgets, traveling and being with his family and friends. Stuart will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
