SUMNER WEITZ Obituary
It is with permanent tears that we mourn the loss of our dear nephew and cousin Sumner Weitz. Sumner was an extraordinarily beautiful, smart, charming, committed and much loved young man, the beloved son of my brother Bruce Weitz and my sister both "in law" and "in heart", Lil. Our hearts are broken by this tremendous absence and our souls reach out to his dear brother Brendan. We pray for all: the entire family, Sumner's friends and colleagues, the world and ourselves. May Sumner's grace be with us always as a reminder of our sacred tasks: to be caring and noble. May we always be reminded of this outstanding young man during every wonderful moment, reflecting on the special beauty and luminosity that Sumner bestowed upon all. During the life of Bruce's and my beloved father, Melvin Weitz of blessed memory, Sumner was among the truly precious jewels in Mel's treasure chest of magnificent grandchildren, a great joy and source of pride. Sumner, you will always walk amongst us and may your every positive word, thought and beautiful deed be concentrated into a brilliant shining light that brightens the world. I have fond memories with NBA great Gus Williams, Hall of fame Nate Tiny Archibald visiting your home spending quality time with Sumner.

I played on the Cresskill tennis team with him for 3 years. Although I haven't seem him since we played tennis together in high school, I have fond memories hanging out with him on and off the courts. He made the team hilarious and fun in the best way possible and I can only look back on this time with the best of memories.
