MOLLOY--Therese M. The Board and staff of Greater Jamaica Development Corporation mourn the loss of Terry Molloy, whose exemplary personal and profession roles in the rebuilding of Jamaica, Queens were profound. Representing Chase Bank as a Director of GJDC and its chair for five years, she championed the political and public advocacy and development of York College and the decision to build a new Queens Family Court in Jamaica. Following retirement from banking, she secured at age 65, a degree from the City University of New York Law School and actively practiced, often pro bono, in the Family Court, where she initiated pioneering visitation programs. With the Queens County Bar, Queens Borough President and GJDC, she led in the effort to replace an outdated Family Court structure with a new and larger exceptionally hospitable court. Her exceptional, engaging commitments and leadership in the business and government communities are irreplaceable. Our grief is tempered by the special and significant contributions she made to community development for the citizens of Queens. F. Carlisle Towery, President
