VIGGO HANSON

HANSON--Viggo Hall, Jr., June 22, l944 - August 31, 2023. "Hall," as known by family and friends, passed away surrounded by loving family and friends. Born in New York City, Hall graduated from Hackley School, Tarrytown, NY in 1962, graduated from Carnegie Tech in Architecture and completed his MBA at Columbia University. He was an Architect for both commercial and residential projects. Among many memorable projects, he helped design and build the stage for Woodstock. A son of the late V. Hall and Betty Hanson, he joined the company, Betty Hanson and Co. as head of sales and became president of that designer sportswear company. He then focused on the career of an Architectural Project Manager, with major commercial companies in NYC and spent many years building restaurants with his brother Stephen Hanson and his company B.R. Guest. In addition to his parents, Hall was predeceased by his beloved son Clayton. He leaves behind his wife Debra Coughenour Hanson, daughter Corinne Hanson, brother Stephen Hanson, wife Deana Hanson and nieces Brynn and Leah. Also, nephews Jonathan, Brandon and Kevin Weil. He was a member of Christ and Holy Trinity Church of Westport, 75 Church Lane, Westport, CT, 06880. A celebration of his life will be held there, Tuesday, September 19th at 11am.
