VINCENT SCLAFANI Obituary

SCLAFANI--Vincent, a son of the Bronx and a longtime New York attorney, died on January 18, 2026, 11 days after his 100th birthday. Predeceased by his wife, he is survived by his two daughters and his son and their families. A World War II Vet., he flew on bombing missions when he was 18 years old. He graduated from St. Francis College and Fordham Law School. In 1974, when we were both solo practitioners defending insurers in personal injury trials in Bronx County, we merged our practices and the law firm of REARDON and SCLAFANI, P.C. was born. (We flipped a coin for the name). We were successful from the start with insurers and attorneys referring cases to us. Vincent was a brilliant trial lawyer with many "incredible" verdicts and settlements in favor of his clients. He was not only my law partner for more than 25 years but was also my close friend.
