Words are a poor substitute for my deep sadness over Wynn's passing. Thank you, Wynn, for extending your passion for art to so many artists and for sharing that art with the world. I admired your eye, your intellect, your caring and your generosity. I will always remember you. Thank you.

Pat and I join in remembering Wynn with appreciation and admiration, not just for his consuming passion for art and its sharing, but for his understanding that dogs elicit our better natures and human rights aren't optional.

Werner Hans Kramarsky was my commissioner for four years when I worked as an attorney for the New York State Division of Human Rights. Unlike most agency heads, Commissioner Kramarsky took his responsibilities very seriously and, in conjunction with some brilliant attorneys and staff members, expanded human rights in New York State and by extension, based on NY's status in business, in the entire country.
Because of the outcome of some of the cases I was assigned, one day Commissioner Kramarksy invited me to his office. There, on the floor learning up against a couch, were four works of art that he explained he had just purchased. He then said I could select one to hang on the wall next to my desk while working at the Division. I selected a Louse Nevelson in a shadow frame, obviously not the normal artwork on the wall of a state attorney. My last day of employment by the state I removed it from the wall and walked down the hallway to his office to return it. That Nevelson was a symbol of his passion for art and justice, and I still feel honored to have worked for him.

He had a wonderful and full life. His interest in so many areas made conversations stimulating and fascinating. I will miss our talks.

A shining intellect, an honest man, a doer, not a talker.
Few like him will pass this way again

Wynn's passing is much more than my words can describe. He gave so much to so many of us , and in so doing he gave our art a home, a way to be seen and understood. Thank you, Wynn.
