I recall Bill's attention to the garden in Bucks County - the magnificent day lilies in bloom. He was a lovely host and with Bob opened their home and gardens to many groups. Truly generous and gifted. Will be sorely missed.

It's been many years since I had the good fortune of working as a designer under Bill Mandel at WNET/Thirteen in New York. Many of the good and talented from that time and place are no longer with us and it's gratifying to know that Bill's retirement from his position as Design Director was a long and rewarding one. He will always be remembered with fondness and gratitude.

We will always remember Bill with fondness. He and Bob often offered their home to celebrate the 14 of July with the Alliance Franaise de Doylestown. He was an avid reader of French and was a faithful member of our Saturday morning French reading sessions.
