With hearts full of love and gratitude, the family of Ann Brannon Robertson celebrates her homegoing to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 20, 2025. Ann's final moments were spent surrounded by her greatest treasures-her three children, Terry Robertson (wife Denise), Sherri Barrett (husband Wayne), and Christy Sessions (husband Mark)-who shared her laughter, stories, and the joys of caring for her.
Ann lived a life filled with joy, connection, and faith. She never met a stranger and had a gift for turning even a quick hello into a heartfelt conversation. When she and her husband, Terry, took walks through the neighborhood, what should have been a short stroll often turned into hours of visiting-proof of how deeply she loved people. Ann also loved her dogs through the years and always enjoyed a boat ride on Lake Martin with a little fishing.
Family was at the heart of everything Ann did. She delighted in hearing stories about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cheering for their accomplishments and sharing in their lives. "Grandma" was famous for her warm kitchen and even warmer hugs-her homemade biscuits, biscuit pudding, and Thanksgiving dressing were legendary family favorites. More than anything, she loved seeing everyone gathered together and her home filled with laughter and love.
Born on January 6, 1934, in Fairfax, Alabama, to Rufus and Hettie Brannon, Ann's life was one of devotion and hard work. She graduated from Lanett High School and married the late William Terry Robertson, Sr., on October 6, 1957. Their journey took them to Macon and Victoria, Texas for Terry's baseball career and later back to Alabama, where Ann built a career with the telephone company and West Point Pepperell, retiring after many dedicated years.
A woman of steadfast faith, Ann and Terry were long-time members of First United Methodist Church in Lanett, later joining Sardis Methodist Church in Dadeville, where they formed cherished friendships and grew in their walk with God.
Ann's legacy continues through her three children, 10 grandchildren with 8 spouses-Tiffany Goolsbey, Ryan Robertson, Blake Robertson, Joshua Barrett, Andrew Barrett, John Barrett, Ashley Brockett, Landon Sessions, Lance Sessions, and Anna Grace Sessions-and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored their "Grandma."
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at The Veranda in Dadeville and Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City for their kindness and compassion during the final years of Ann's beautiful life.
Ann's story is one of faith, love, laughter, and family-a life truly well-lived and deeply loved.
