Graveside service for David Philpot, 67, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2021, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 135 Townsend Road, Auburn, AL 36860, Reverend Chester Levett will officiate.
Mr. Philpot, who passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL was born December 7, 1953 in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing for Mr. Philpot will be Sunday, February 14, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Samantha Philpot of Auburn, AL; three children, Erica Key of Auburn, AL, Gail Key of Opelika, AL and Melody Key of Tuskegee, AL; five grandchildren, Jaquez Burton, Jazmin Lane, Kacey Green, Brinna Wilson and Elijah Key; two sisters, Barbara Philpot of Auburn, AL and Annie Stevenson of Tuskegee, AL; one brother, Alexis (Cynthia) Oliver of Auburn, AL; one aunt, Estelle Oliver of Syracuse, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
