James Gregory Obituary
James Elton Gregory 71, of LaFayette, Alabama passed away Thursday July 22, 2021 at Bethany House Hospice.
James was born in LaFayette November 25, 1949 to the late Elton Gregory and the late Ernestine Miller.
Gregory, he was a member of the Center Baptist Church in Ridge Grove, James retired from as a dispatcher at McClendon Trucking Co. in LaFayette and later delivered appliances for Alabama Power Company for many years, James loved to fish and was a member of the Bushwackers Bass Club and the West Georgia Bass Club, and was an avid Alabama Football fan.
Funeral services will be held Sunday July 25, 2021 at 3PM at the Center Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Faron Golden and the Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating.
The family will greet family and friends on Sunday at the church from 2PM until 3PM prior to the service.
He is survived by his Wife of 50 years Brenda Gregory, Daughter Karla (Jonathan) Greathouse, Son Kevin (Traci) Gregory, Sister Martha (Walter) Woodall, Brother Paul (Angie) Gregory, 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews and also many friends who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Grandson Cooper Abney.
