Graveside service for Johnnie Mitchell, 77, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 21935 US Highway 80, Opelika, Alabama 36804, Reverend Edward Lane will officiate.

Mr. Mitchell, who passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama, was born March 10, 1944, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 22, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

He leaves to cherish his memory: one sister, Cora Lee James of Opelika, AL; two brothers, David Lee Mitchell and Aaron (Tonya) Grant both of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Cassie Pearl "Tee Tee" Singleton of Opelika, AL; one sister-in-law, Jamie Nell Mitchell of Crawford, AL; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
