Graveside service for Lestine Reese, 78, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Zion at the Hill A.M.E Zion Church Cemetery, 3845 Lee Road 29, Opelika, AL 36801, Pastor Mae Pearl Hall-Clark will officiate.

Mrs. Reese, who passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born April 23, 1942 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing for Mrs. Reese will be Fri., April 9, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Portia (Joseph) Snell of Salem, AL, Phyllis A. Dumas, Jeffery Leon (Kidola) Reese, Doral Reese all of Opelika, AL and Angela (Roderick) King of Columbus, GA; one sister-in-law, Annie K. Hunter of Auburn, AL; one brother-in-law, Hoover Lyles of Auburn, AL; thirteen grandchildren, Lakeshia Todd, Tiffani Dumas, Nicholas (Casey) Lindsey, Jasmin (Mario) Davenport, Tyrone Youson Jr., Lonnie (Whitleigh) Samuel, Tempest Reese, Olivia Clark, Karen Clark, Bobbi A'Kayla Adams, Tyriq Chambers, Amari Payton and De'Mia Reese; seventeen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, church members, and friends.

CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
