April 28, 1939 - April 8, 2021

Minister Mary Doris Bradford Gatewood Dunn was formerly of Auburn, AL. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Helen Nell Bradford. Born April 28, 1939 and succumbed to a long illness on April 8, 2021 in Syracuse, NY.

At the age of eighteen, Mary moved to Syracuse, NY and was married to the late Deacon Willie James Gatewood until his passing. Later, she married the late Deacon Sylvester Dunn of Augusta, GA.

As an ordained Minister, Doris carried her Ministry through the New York and Pennsylvania District and State Association faithfully, never tiring doing the work for her Lord and Savior.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, NY.

Left to cherish her memories are: daughters, Angela Pierce of Syracuse, NY, Adrienna (Kenneth) Shepherd of Nedrow, NY and Sharon Walley of Fort Myers, FL; twenty grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; siblings, Mildred Jackson and Lillye P. Brown both of Auburn, AL, Rebecca Pleze of Decatur, GA, Ethel Glynn of Tuskegee, AL and Grover (Dorothy) Jackson of Beauregard, AL; sisters-in-law, Bertha Bradford of Syracuse, NY and Lucindia Bradford of Shreveport, LA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
