Robert Lee (R.L.) Phillips Obituary

Robert Lee (R.L.) Phillips of Auburn, AL, formerly of Roxana, AL passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on May 3rd, 2009 at the age of 75. A Memorial Service will be held at Langley Funeral Home Chapel, Camp Hill, AL, at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 with Rev. Julian Tally officiating.
Mr. Phillips was born and grew up in Roxana, AL, but spent most of his working years in South America while working in the oil drilling business. There he met his wife and raised a family while living in Bolivia, Brazil and Columbia. He retired in 1986 and moved to Auburn, AL to be closer to family and spend his retirement years working on his farm in Roxana.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 48 years Betty Phillips of Auburn, AL; son Robert (Gabriela) Phillips of Brazil; son Richard (Hilary) Phillips of Atlanta, GA; son Randall (Emily) Phillips of Roxana, AL; grandchildren Pedro and Bianca of Brazil; Luke and Spencer of Atlanta, GA; Adam and Gabriela of Roxana, AL; and sister Katherine Fincher of Auburn, AL.
