SARA JONES Obituary

SARA WADE JONES Mrs. Sara Wade Jones, 98, of Columbus, Ga. formerly of LaFayette, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Doctor¹s Hospital in Columbus, Ga. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 1:00 pm (CT), 2:00 pm (ET) at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga. Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter, Sally (Morris) Plott, Columbus, Ga.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Leigh Plott, Alpharetta, Ga. and Anne Woodfin Plott of Columbus, Ga.; nieces and nephews George E. Wade, Jr., Ginger Wade Harper, Thomas A Wade, Jr., Robert Jackson Wade all of Columbus, Ga. and Anne Wade Pattison of Marietta, Ga. Mrs. Jones was born July 11, 1912 in Union Springs, Al. She was a member of First United Methodist in LaFayette. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her sister Mary Wade Robinson, and brothers Franklin Pearce Wade, George Emmett Wade, and Thomas Andrew Wade, Sr. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, August 20 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm (CT). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Memorial Fund at the First United Methodist Church, LaFayette or Charity of your choice. Jeff Jones Funeral Home, LaFayette, is in charge of arrangements.
