Charmaine Cherry Obituary
She was born July 5, 1962 to Albert K. Laimana and Arleen F. Batula in Harbor City, California. Charmaine "Cherry" was a devout Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, a member of Bikers for Christ, a member of Vineyard Church and a true friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Troy Cherry of Odessa; children, Jamie Cherry, James Cherry, Haunani Brigoli, Mililani Brigoli, Lopaka Brigoli and Joshua Cherry; Grandchildren, Alyssa, Parker, Diveli, Paris, Phoenix, Austin, Presley, Hanalei, Maka Koa and Kaena; and her parents, Albert and Arleen Laimana.
Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Lein officiating. Hawaiian attire is encouraged by the family.

Charmaine, you leave behind so many....family, friends etc that loved you so much! Mama Cherry, I think of you all the time! I learned very quickly how important family is to you so it was an absolute blessing when you welcomed Billy and I with open arms. Your smile and laughter is contagious and your sweet words of encouragement and love were always so uplifting. I was always so happy to see comments from you and to see how you beamed with pride when you were around your beautiful family! Thank you for being you, and raising 2 beautiful daughters that are making sure your wonderful memory lives on. We lost a beautiful presence but we gained a Guardian Angel and for that I am thankful. Keep laughing, dancing, and singing among the angels!

Auntie Charmaine, I remember the first time I met you. I was 8 months pregnant with Mckoy, and you ran up to me, tickled and kissed my stomach, gave me the warmest and biggest hug and told me how pretty I was. Ive never felt so much love from one person in my life. You had the biggest heart and the warmest smile, and that is what I will ALWAYS remember. We love you our TUTU SWEET! Momma!! I miss you so much. I still can't believe my Mommy is gone!! I never thought this day would come, and so soon. I wonder every second of the day what you are doing right now. Brother Troy and family, Sister Cherry was one of the most joyful, enthusiastic loving servants of Jesus Christ that I have ever known. Her genuine love and commitment to her Lord and Master Jesus Christ the Messiah was so evident in everything she did! She had the gift of the Holy Spirit to literally walk into a room of people and change the atmosphere! She was "light and salt" to a lost and dying world & an encourager to the body of Christ. I am so grateful to have met Cherry. She was one of the most amazing people I've ever known. I'll never forget all of the big bear hugs and high fives she gave me. I am honored and privileged to have known Cherry. She was a good friend of my mom's, and she was loved by my entire family. She was a blessing to all who encountered her, and a wonderful friend to all. Not only was Cherry beautiful on the inside as well as out, but she NEVER missed an opportunity to share her love and passion for Christ to others.
