Gwen Ramsey Obituary
Gwen was a longtime resident of Iraan, where she attended elementary through high school. On November 25, 1954, she married Howard L. Ramsey, who preceded her in death. Family and friends were Gwen's passion and pride. Gwen loved to cook for her family, cheer on the Iraan Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and play dominoes.
Gwen is survived by her five children; her son, Max Ramsey and wife Vickie of Breckenridge, TX; daughter Teri Turner and David Swigart of San Angelo, TX; daughter Cindy Goudge and husband Michael Goudge of Kerrville, TX; son Randy Ramsey and wife Stacia Ramsey of Iraan, TX, and daughter Gina Stevenson also of Iraan, TX. She is survived by two precious sisters, Bessie Schenk, and Jean Gray along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Gwen's proudest legacy were her 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren whom lovingly remember her as "Memaw"
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Gwen during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Iraan Ex Students Association. Services will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Restland Cemetery in Iraan.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Gwen was a true gracious lady that adored her family, everyone who knew Gwen knew all about her family. she is an angel in heaven now and will be missed here. I am so sorry for her loss because she was a special person.
